The UK Government levelling up plan means switching off traditional copper-connections by 2025. What does that mean for you home phone line?

How it works

Older, traditional broadband services required two products: a telephone line (analogue copper cable) and broadband. But now that copper is being phased out in readiness for the #BigSwitchOff in 2025 you only need ONE product - full fibre broadband. VoIP (or Voice Over IP) which simply means voice conversations are made over the internet using your broadband connection.

Equipment

We provide you with a ‘plug and play’ home phone solution that includes either a physical VoIP home phone handset OR an ATA (Analogue Telephone Adaptor) that you can plug your existing home phone handset into.

Packages

We offer 2 home phone packages:
- Line only at just £5 p/mth. Call rates apply.
- All inclusive at £15 p/mth which includes a FREE VoIP home phone handset and all calls*
*Upto 5000 minutes to 01,02,03 and 07 UK mobile destinations, excludes international calls

Why do I need to upgrade?

You need to upgrade in readiness for the 2025 #BigSwitchOff.

The Big Switch Off refers to the gradual phasing out of BT’s ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) and Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN). Businesses and homeowners will no longer have the ability to acquire PSTN and ISDN after September 2023, with the old technology being completely switched off in 2025.

The move will bring an end to the use of analogue phone lines in the UK, with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, which allows voice calls to be made over an internet connection, coming in its place. With a robust and reliable internet connection now available across much of the UK, the change will make use of this infrastructure to provide cheaper and clearer phone calls.

What equipment is included?

Our all inclusive package includes a VoIP ready home phone or Analogue Telephone Adaptor (ATA)
choose between the sleek Yealink W60p or the Cisco 191 ATA

What happens to my landline?

We can port your existing landline number from your existing service provider in most cases, when you are ready to make the switch from your analogue provider, simply place an order with us and we will handle the migration for you.

Providing you are in a ready for service area, we may be able to buy you out of your existing contract - speak to our team today on 0800 999 1519 to make the switch.

Can I change my VoIP tariff?
