Established in 2016, Country Connect is a privately owned company and an established independent communications provider [CP], addressing the connectivity requirements of an increasingly digital world and providing high-speed network access solutions into some of the most challenging rural locations.

At Country Connect we provide a number of different kind of broadband service - including our full-fibe, ultrafast and bulletproof broadband.

Service excellence is at the heart of all that we do, starting with our customer-first approach to delivery and resulting in the very best connectivity within our enabled communites

Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) means that that fibre broadband that is wired directly to the home instead of a cabinet that services the area (which is referred to as FTTC, or fibre to the cabinet). The cable connecting your property to the service is fibre and not copper, providing a far superior, faster, more reliable broadband connection. FTTP, unlike FTTC, uses all fibre optic cables, making it the fastest type of fibre you can get. A typical FTTC broadband connection might offer around 50Mbps whereas FTTP can offer up to 900Mbps.

No, our FTTP broadband is provided as an overlay service and could, if the user wanted to, run side-by-side to the existing services on the Openreach network.

No, our service is not linked to any previous service and the customer will need to make arrangements with their current provider in order to cancel their existing service.

No, FTTP is an internet only service and does not come with a traditional telephone service. We offer VoIP (VOICE OVER INTERNET) that can easily be added on to the service and we can port the exisiting number over to our voice network. This service is charged at £15 per month on a 24 month term and comes with 5000 inclusive minutes. which can be used to call 01/02/03 and even 07 UK Mobile

Voice Over Internet Protocol - is a technology that allows you to make voice calls from your home phone line / land line using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line.

All services are invoiced on the 1st of the month and payment collected by Direct Debit within 10 days.

Contention ratio refers to how many users are sharing the data capacity on a provider's line. In simple terms it is a count of how many other premises are using the same main bradband line as you. Standard contention ratios are around 1:50 (1 line between 50 households) and Country Connect's are just 1:15 - significantly lower! When the contention ratio is high, a lot of people are connected at the same time as you, and this will drag your speeds down.

Ultrafast FTTP is needed to support the data requirements of a modern home with an increasing number of devices in the home (including smart TVs, laptops, printers, mobile phones, media players, tablets, heating and light systems and even fridges!). Without ultrafast broadband, households can miss out on bandwidth-intensive services such as streamed TV and video services offering the best picture and sound quality. A single live stream from BBC iPlayer (in Ultra HD 4k format) requires a download speed of 40 Mbps alone.

  • Substantially improved performance for delay-sensitive services, such as online gaming and voice and video telephony (e.g. Zoom and Skype).
  • With much bigger upload speeds, online back-up and file sharing is much quicker, as this could take weeks (or months) with fibre broadband.
  • Seamless home working and can improve work-life balance.
  • More reliable than standard ADSL broadband and FTTC broadband
  • Could even increase your house price, or decrease it if you don’t have it. Many of those looking to move regard the availability of high-speed broadband to be as important as the availability of good schools and transport links.
